| Frequently Asked Questions
Which type of cooler is best for me, Gas or Electric? It depends on where you will use it most. The biggest factor is that gas coolers are not good to run indoors. If you are planning to use your cooler a lot indoors you will want an electric cooler.
What is the range of the coolers? Since the coolers are still in the manufacturing stage, we can only estimate. We think that the gas cooler will be able to go about 20-30 miles before refilling and the electric about the same in the 300 watt units; this is about two hours of continuous driving!.
How about parts? This is one of our biggest target areas for complete customer satisfaction and the biggest complaint from people who buy any old scooter from overseas. We will stock everything you could ever need for your cooler, all the time. Contact us at Parts@koolerkars.com
How about a warranty issue? Your Kooler is warranted for 120 days through the manufacturer Cruzin Coolers. Although they are working to establish a relationship with a National Service chain for local service, we will always have our service facilities open in Houston for quick turn around service. Contact 1-800-359-5199 or Service@cruzincooler.com
What about registration? It is critically important to register your cooler for your warranty, for service information and for any safety issues that may develop! You have 3 areas where your serial number is located:1) The front handle bar. 2) On top of the battery. 3) The back axel. There could be some new accessories or a critical safety change that you need to be aware of. You can register your cooler online at register@cruzincooler.com.
I have trouble starting the gas unit, What do I do? We keep a small can of starting ether handy to make cold starting easier. All 2 cycle motors may take a few pulls to get going, but with all of our test units we have always got our coolers started. To start your cooler use the following procedure:
a. Pump the primer bulb under the carburetor several times.
b. Move the choke lever up to choke the carburetor.
c. Pull the start cord. Push choke lever down.
d. If it does not start after a few pulls you can spray a little ether close to the air cleaner.
The electric unit does not go, what should I do? In the earlier models there were two fuses. One in the exterior charge plate area (this may be changed to a circuit breaker) and one in the electronic controller inside the cooler where all of the wires converge, if your unit has a black box inside the cooler on the opposite side of the power switch then your cooler only has one fuse located where the wires converge. Check these first. If they are good check your battery connections. If they are good you will need to get a voltmeter to check your power at the motor and at the batteries. Ohm out the motor. If it is good your problem lies in the throttle or the controller.
My unit is under warranty and it won't start, what should I do? Follow the steps above first. If you still have problems you can contact our service center. Contact us at Service@cruzincooler.com or 713.956.COOL.

How much weight can my cooler really take? We have load tested our coolers to 540 lbs. We recommend a maximum of 200 lbs plus your cargo. We have had guys weighing around 325 lbs. drive the cooler routinely without incident or overly burdening the coolers. If you weight more that 200 lbs and want a cooler we recommend that you get a 500 watt electric instead of a 250 watt. Our coolers have steel frames inserted into the body to help support heavier loads. Under any weight loads over 200 lbs, you will void your warranty. We may lift the weight limit specifications after more testing.
Where are the Koolers made? They are made at several factories in China. Most of the components were already made there and this was the only way to get the costs of production down to make them feasible for sales in the US markets.
What else is coming? A lot of cool stuff, new bigger coolers, new accessories, new trailers, 4 wheel drive units, marine coolers, decals. There are so many new products in development you will be amazed. Keep checking the web site.

What is the size of a 50 quart cooler?
All 50 quart coolers measure 18.5" H x 17.3 W x 27.6 L
On the lighter side FAQ:
Can you get a DUI on one of these? O.K., here's the deal. If you're drinking a refreshing alcoholic beverage, and you happen to drive by an officer of the law, yes you can get a DUI. You can get a DUI if you are on a bicycle! We do not encourage drinking and driving; remember be responsible.
What do you do with it? This is a really tough question for us to answer. IT'S AN ICE CHEST!!!! What do you do with your ice chests?
Can a Kooler Kar float? Absolutely... until water rushes into the vent holes. We suggest that you NOT test this theory.
